notes from taper:
My 20th MH show. THE FUCKING WORST sounding MH show I have ever had the "pleasure" to witness. Sorry, not even exaggarating one bit when I write this. They went on approximately 15 minutes too late, because their crew was trying to get the monitors to work. The show started with the Imperium tape- no intro as in Ave satani (usually the intro when they open up a show w/ Imperium). They didn't even the Diary of a madman playing before the show and I bet my ass off that they were planning on opening with This is the end that night- like they did at a few other show around that time, but because they were late all this was cut out!
It is such a shame to see this happen to one of your alltime fav bands- especially because it was the crew that fucked it up. The saying of "You're only as good as your crew is" totally applies here. In addition to that either the stagebox or the multicore went tits up, which resulted in all the cut outs/technical difficulties during the entire show (I talked to a guy who was working the stage that day)- there's a fuck up due to technical problems in almost every song of this set!
The band was pretty professional about all the technical fuck ups though, so I have to give them major credit for that, because they could have easily had a meltdown on stage, but they managed to pull through without any of that. ALthough after one song Robb walked towards a tech while wildly gesturing what the fuck was up.
The crowd seemed to not mind the bad sound at all and was moshing and running in circles throughout the entire show.
Enjoy!
