Very sold show by Fear Factory tonight at Gagarin 205. I had listened to some of their recent shows after downloading from here, but witnessing the real thing in person was much better. I liked the setlist very much and the concert was really enjoyable. One drawback was that the sound was not as good as it usually is at Gagarin 205. Sometimes the vocals were too low in the mix. Well, at the encore everything was perfect I have to admit!
The technical difficulties that poped up is that Gene smashed one of his drums and it had to be replaced! Dino showed it to us - it was badly torn. When the drum was replaced, Dino started playing "Raining Blood" riff and Gene followed just to check that his equipment was back on track again.
As far as the recording is concerned, unfortunately I am not very pleased with it. The reason is that I was sitting next to some really annoying fucking talkers who wouldn't shut their fucking mouths. Well, it's not as bad as it appears to be after my description, but I'm really mad at those guys who don't pay attention to the band who is playing and are talking to their friends all the time. You can do that at home, you moron. When you are at a show, just either sing the goddamn lyrics or shut the fuck up and pay attention to what's going on on stage. You can talk to your friend later, he won't leave. Stupid people. I'm really upset :) I would really love to smack them in their heads. Nah. Waste of time... They will always be idiots.
I hope that my good friend Mr. Rough Silk has taken some decent pictures so that I can post some of them in the comments section and make some nice covers. He was sitting next to me, but I didn't ask him how his photo session was after the concert! During the encore, I gave him my recording vest, he wore it and I rushed into the pit where I found my friend George and we beat the crap out of other people there! We also received some nice punches - well, this is always a give-and-take situation!
Had a totally great time at the Fear Factory concert. I wish to see them again in the future (this was the first time they visited Greece).
There's a possibility that another recording of this concert will surface, we'll see.
If you remove tracks 116 & 201, the recording flows seamlessly.
